The terms you accept by using this site.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of hack1ng.com and its content (the "Site"), operated by Hack1ng ("we", "us"). By accessing the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Site.
01 What the Site is
The Site is an informational presentation of a single professional service - authorised offensive security testing. It describes what that service covers and how an engagement runs.
- The Site is not an offer capable of acceptance, and nothing on it creates a contract for services.
- Descriptions of scope, method, deliverables and frameworks are indicative. The scope, price, timing and deliverables of any actual work are fixed exclusively by a signed engagement letter.
- The Site does not provide security, legal, financial or compliance advice, and must not be relied on as a substitute for professional advice on your specific circumstances.
- Content on the Site may be changed, corrected or removed at any time without notice.
02 Service availability - pre-launch
The service described on the Site is preparing for launch. The request form shown on the Site is disabled: it cannot be submitted, and information entered into it is neither transmitted nor stored. No enquiry can be lodged, and no engagement can be formed, through the Site until intake opens. We give no assurance as to when, or whether, any particular service or feature will become available.
03 No engagement without written authorisation
We do not test any system without a signed scope and authorisation from a person empowered to grant it. Visiting the Site, or any communication that does not amount to a signed engagement letter, never constitutes instructions to test, permission to test, or an agreement that we will test. The full conditions we work under are set out in our rules of engagement, which form part of every engagement.
04 Permitted use
You may view the Site and print or store extracts for your own internal, non-commercial evaluation of our services. All other use requires our prior written consent.
05 Prohibited use
You must not, and must not attempt to:
- Probe, scan, penetration-test, stress-test, or otherwise attack the Site or its hosting infrastructure, except strictly in accordance with our published disclosure policy (see clause 09).
- Access any non-public area of the Site, or any account, system or data you are not authorised to access.
- Interfere with, disrupt or degrade the Site, or circumvent any access control, rate limit or security measure.
- Use automated means to scrape, harvest, mirror or bulk-download the Site, or collect contact details from it.
- Submit false, misleading or third-party information, or impersonate any person or organisation.
- Use the Site or its content to develop, market or operate a competing service, or to train a machine-learning model, without our written consent.
- Use the Site for anything unlawful, or in breach of any applicable computer-misuse, data-protection, sanctions or export-control law.
06 Intellectual property
The Site and everything in it - text, layout, design, code, the Hack1ng name and the dragon mark - is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property law. Nothing in these Terms transfers any right in it to you, and no licence is granted except the limited permission in clause 04. You must not remove or obscure any proprietary notice.
Deliverables produced during a paid engagement are licensed or assigned to you on the terms of the relevant engagement letter, not by these Terms. We retain ownership of our methodologies, tooling and know-how.
07 Third-party resources
The Site loads web fonts from a third-party provider and may link to external resources such as security standards and frameworks. Those resources are outside our control; we do not endorse them and accept no responsibility for their content or availability. References to third-party frameworks describe the methodology we align to and do not imply certification, accreditation, endorsement or affiliation unless we state so expressly.
08 Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in our privacy policy, which forms part of these Terms.
09 Reporting a vulnerability in our systems
If you believe you have found a flaw in our own systems, report it through the channel published in security.txt. Reports made in good faith, without data exfiltration, without service disruption, and without disclosure to third parties before we have had a reasonable opportunity to remediate, will not be pursued by us. Testing beyond that - including denial-of-service, social engineering of our people, or accessing another person's data - is prohibited by clause 05.
10 Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Security testing, by its nature, cannot prove the absence of vulnerabilities. Nothing on the Site is a guarantee that any system is or will be secure, compliant, or free from compromise.
11 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, anticipated saving or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site. Because the Site is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with it is limited to the amount you have paid us for access to it.
Liability for work performed under an engagement letter is governed by that letter, not by this clause. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
12 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, liability and reasonable cost (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your unlawful or unauthorised use of the Site.
13 Suspension
We may restrict or block access to the Site, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice, including where we reasonably suspect a breach of clause 05.
14 Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page with a new version number and date. The version in force is the one published when you access the Site. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of it.
15 Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the Site, are governed by the laws of the country in which Hack1ng is established, and the courts of that country have exclusive jurisdiction - without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection you enjoy in your own country of residence.
16 General
- If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in full force.
- Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- These Terms, together with the privacy policy and the rules of engagement, are the entire agreement between us regarding the Site.
- You may not assign your rights under these Terms; we may assign ours as part of a reorganisation or transfer of business.
17 How to contact us
We publish no email address and no postal address at this pre-launch stage. Once intake opens, the form on the home page becomes the route for enquiries and for any notice under these Terms. Until then the form is disabled and there is no channel through which to contact us.
